What are Men's Community Couch Conversations?

Men's Community Couch Conversations are an online group gathering specifically tailored for queer and gay men. This inclusive space allows participants to discuss a variety of topics that resonate with their experiences. The needs and interests of the participants drive the conversations, whether it be about loneliness, sexual health issues, stress, anxiety, or depression, the topic changes every fortnight and open and honest discussion is encouraged.

The Dynamics of the Sessions

Shaun, a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, is your facilitator for these sessions. As a gay man who came out later in life and has navigated numerous personal challenges, Shaun brings a wealth of empathy and understanding to the role. His personal and professional experiences equip him to create a safe and respectful environment where men can openly discuss their concerns.

During the sessions, participants can expect:

A Safe Space: Privacy and vulnerability are paramount. The environment is non-judgmental, ensuring that each individual feels respected and understood.

Facilitated Discussions: Shaun guides the conversations, helping participants to explore and articulate their thoughts and feelings.

Peer Support: The sessions foster connections among men facing similar issues, promoting a sense of community and mutual support.

Open Sharing: Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, which can be incredibly validating and empowering.

Benefits of Attending

Attending Men's Community Couch Conversations offers numerous benefits:
